Now this morning did not start out the way I hoped for as my hubby woke up with the worlds most stinking hangover due to a little gathering with our closest friends last night. Myself being miraculously hangover free and fresh as a daisy started the day off with bacon sandwiches and then the wait began for hubby to feel human enough to leave the house. We originally wanted to travel further afield and take our little dog to Bradgate Park in Leicestershire... however due to husband not recovering to well after 1pm we decided to visit the country park up the road from us called Hartshill Hayes.
I consider myself very lucky to live so close to such an incredible place. 137 acres of woodland with incredible views over North Warwickshire, and it is the most beautiful at this time of year with bluebells enthusiastically sprinkled over the ground. I visit on almost a weekly basis and its beauty is always breathtaking.
We walked about 3 miles, and it defiantly cleared a few cobwebs although we both have achy legs from choosing the uphill routes. I would recommend a Hartshill Hayes visit to anyone from the Midlands, especially if you have a dog.

After our visit to Hartshill Hayes we jumped in the car and visited Bella's favourite shop - Pets at Home... she was desperately in need of a new collar.
Tonight is all about settling on the sofa with an Indian takeaway and a film. Praying for a chick flick
What do you like to do on Bank Holidays? What are you planning for the two Bank Holidays we have in May?
Love
Emma
